Coming to a Illinois year you! "Raising Taxes"

As a Illinois resident it doesn't come as much of a surprise when the news came out that taxes are going to be increased by as much as 75%, for a long while Illinois has been struggling to stay ahead of the massive debt that was piling up now thanks to the years and years of political corruption that has and still plagues the state.

I can definitely understand where Pat Q. and his guys are coming from being in debt is a crappy deal especially for all the citizens of the state but hey man we have been broke as a joke for years before you came around! How about before you punish the hard working individuals you explore other options?
  1. Trim the budget and do less with more.  This is a fairly common business practice, why not give it a try?
  2. Reduce pension and bonus funds.  Does Mr. Hairy Dick need a $500,00+ bonus each year?  Pretty sure he doesn't and he can pass on the new yacht he was looking at buying this year!
  3. Make free money work!  Here is an idea all those on social programs, in which tax payers are handing out money to those who feel entitled make, make them work!!!!! For every one person on a state or other funded program that actually is going through a hardship and needs it there is 10+ that are screwing the system!  We all go to work to earn money to pay our bills why not make those who are being handed a check because they are "less fortunate" work for a change.  If we are paying them find something for them to do!
  4. Find other taxable items, medicinal Marijuana. Now some may find this extremely radical but hear me out.  It is fact that there are a number of illness and injury that cause a great deal of pain and to deal with said pain individuals have come to rely on medication to help them.  Problem with that is alot of the "good" stuff is a narcotic substance that in the case of some may be addictive and in many cases lose its usefulness over time requiring an large dosage in turn becoming dangerous.  Add to that all the other things that go along with taking prescription medicine allergies, adverse reactions, and so forth.  Legalize marijuana for medicinal use tax the pot and call it a day.  Yes it is more complicated that I made it seem but this is not a POT post so I will save that for my next one.
Four thoughts I provided the state of Illinois for free!  However I have a lot more if they chose to contract my services and since that would do the opposite for the budget it wouldn't surprise me if they did
